Description
It was not until today while cropping this photo to show more details on the rocks and bring in that small area of the water that I noticed the young Seagull and it's shadow perched on that rock near the center. It looked so small in the original full size photo that I did not realize it was a bird.
I though it would be fitting to show it here to remind us all that if we look long enough when we feel lonely, we will discover that we are never completely alone. So go outside, experience nature and meet your new friend, human or non-human.
I took this photo while visiting the San Pedro Fish Market Grille Restaurant within the Los Angeles Harbor. I came as close to falling into the water as one can get leaning over and looking straight down at the rocks to take this shot. I was at the edge of their patio outlook eating area at the time. I loved how the shallow water enhanced the rock's texture and colors and the way they contrasted with the transparent blue ripples in the water at the top.
