My brother Serge lost his courageous battle with ALS .

THIS JOURNAL HAS JUST BEEN REQUESTED FOR A GROUP'S GALLERY TODAY 12/17/2013 AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF INACTIVITY.

I SAID YES, BECAUSE I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HOW VERY SPECIAL THEY ARE TO SERGE, OUR FAMILY AND MYSELF AND WANTED TO KEEP ALL THE COMMENTS WELL WISHES ETC... THIS JOURNAL IS NOT GOING TO BE REMOVED FROM MY GALLERY. I WANT TO KEEP IT TO REMIND ALL OF US OF THIS ILLNESS AND TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE NEED OF OTHERS WHO SUFFER FROM THIS DEBILITATING INCURABLE DISEASE AND TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO HELP IN ANY WAY THEY CAN TO BRING AWARENESS.

SERGE DID NOT WIN THE CONTEST, BUT YOUR KIND WORDS AND SUPPORT GAVE HIM INCREDIBLE SUPPORT AND LOVE. THROUGH THIS JOURNAL. I PERSONALLY HAVE MADE MANY NEW FRIENDS HERE ON DA. I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU AGAIN TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR HEARTFELT COMMENTS AND PRAYERS. SERGE STILL NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS.

SERGE IS STILL STRUGGLING WITH ALS AS IT HAS PROGRESSED OVER THE PAST FEW MONTHS. HE IS STILL DOING ALL HE CAN TO BRING AWARENESS TO THIS WORTHY CAUSE IN THE HOPE THAT A CURE CAN BE FOUND IF NOT FOR HIM FOR OTHERS WHO ARE AFFLICTED WITH ALS.

I have been asked what is ALS? Since I am not an expert I can say that it is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease

Hi Everyone,

Serge Vaillancourt is my brother. In addition to being a liver transplant recipient, Serge has recently been diagnosed with ALS. Serge lives in Nanaimo BC Canada and has done a great deal for the transplant society and others by volunteering, giving speeches and signing up thousands of organ donors by setting up booths at the malls and other public places to reach as many organ donors as possible as well as blood donors since his transplant 8 years ago.

Serge is still very involved with the transplant society and others to teach awareness to help others and to show his gratitude for the gift of life he received and all the care he was given over the years. Now that Serge also has ALS he is doing all he can to help with funding research through the ALS society. He has an opportunity to donate $10,000.00 to the ALS society if he gets enough likes using the we live link below.
